Qualifications

• Neonate resuscitation certification required within 6 months.
• Associate degree in respiratory care or related field.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days.
• PALS certification required within 6 months.
• RRT/RCP credential as Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status by focused exams, breath sounds, and airway patency.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy with oxygen, meds, and airway clearance techniques across settings.
• Manage ventilation and airways, including invasive/noninvasive ventilation and response to changes.
• Educate patients and families; partner with physicians and nurses; support care teams.
• Maintain equipment and ensure infection prevention standards.
