They deliver individualized patient education, support staff development, and serve as preceptors for new employees and students. The role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality care, and actively participating in performance improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and execution, including airway management, arterial blood gas analysis, and ventilator weaning.
• Promote safe practices by ensuring accurate documentation, electronic order compliance, medication safety, and adherence to quality standards.
• Educate patients and support systems while fostering a team-oriented environment and positive work culture.
• Engage in continuous professional development and evidence-based practices, contributing to quality improvement projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Current licensure and certifications: RCP, NBRC-RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (all required upon hire).
