Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Military and Veterans Affairs seeks a Registered PRN Nurse for the Southeastern Veterans' Center to provide hands-on nursing care and support a therapeutic environment for veterans in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• Temporary practice permit holders must obtain RN licensure within one year.
• PA residency waiver is currently in effect for this title.
• Be within/near PA-approved nursing programs and able to provide proof of licensure.

Responsibilities

• Resident Assessment: review reports, monitor conditions, update care plans.
• Clinical Support: assist physicians, transcribe orders, ensure completion.
• Care Documentation: record daily care and update EMR.
• Medication Management: administer or oversee proper administration.
• Supply Oversight: track inventory and equipment maintenance.
• Team Coordination: share information, attend meetings, support training.
