Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Military and Veterans Affairs seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate, safe nursing care at the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. You will support veterans and spouses, perform health assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care with the RN.

This full-time role includes evening and night shifts, weekend rotation, and a nursing referral program offering up to $4,000.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Pennsylvania.
• Must obtain PA licensure/temporary permit if required.
• Current practice authorization to work as LPN in PA.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with resident health assessments and documentation.
• Administer medications and verify orders.
• Monitor residents and report changes to care team.
• Coordinate care plans with RNs and nursing committees.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure hygiene.
• Provide focused care in specialty units (e.g., Alzheimer care).
