Job summary

Breckenridge Village is a Christ-centered community serving adults with IDD. The RN-PRN provides short-term, as-needed medical coverage to help ensure health, safety, and well-being. Works with staff and leadership for medical needs, first aid, and emergency care within RN scope.

Ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and comfortable with adults with IDD. The position may be scheduled for events, periods of increased needs, or short-term campus coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• Three (3) years nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties in accordance with nursing guidelines and best practices.
• Respond to injuries and illness during normal business hours.
• Maintain real time medical documentation.
• Create nurse progress note, in real time, in PCC when any communication regarding medical care is received from or provided to a resident, guardian, or Breckenridge Village staff member
• Review appointment summaries and audit documentation into PCC.
• Audit medication administration records (MAR) in real time when medications are changed, added or discontinued.
• Conduct doctor follow up on abnormal exams or specialty requests
• Pull and review special procedure diagnostics
• Must be able to perform physical activity such as extensive walking, lifting of patients, stretching and bending
• Report signs of abuse, neglect, and exploitation and sexually provocative behavior and implement professional response, reporting and documenting procedures
• Adhere to professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Breckenridge Village personnel polity manual including demonstrating respect for agency staff, residents, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times
• Provide 1:1 supervision for residents when medically necessary on campus or at other locations.
