Job summary

Breckenridge Village is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN coverage in Tyler, Texas, to support medical services with flexibility in scheduling. The RN will provide short-term, as-needed medical care, respond to emergencies, maintain immediate documentation, and collaborate with staff to ensure resident safety and well-being.

Ideal candidates will hold Texas RN licensure, have BLS and First Aid certifications, and bring compassionate, professional care for adults with IDD.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas (active).
• Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• BLS and First Aid certifications required.
• Three years nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties in accordance with nursing guidelines and best practices established by the Texas Board of Nursing for Registered Nurses.
• Respond to injuries and illnesses during normal business hours.
• Maintain real-time medical documentation.
• Create progress notes in PCC for medical communications.
• Review and audit MARs in real time when medications change.
• Conduct doctor follow-up on abnormal exams or requests.
• Provide one-to-one supervision when medically necessary on campus or elsewhere.
• Act as advocate for residents during supervision and health events.
