Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian for the Cortland Manor, NY area, working onsite at Hudson Valley Hospital Center. The role focuses on nutritional assessment, interventions, and quality of life for residents/patients, scheduled 8-16 hours per month with potential additional coverage.

Prerequisites include a nutrition degree, CDR eligibility, and licensure. Experience in healthcare or long‑term care is beneficial.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year' prior experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participating in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
