Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, implementing interventions, and promoting patient quality of life, with 8–16 hours weekly schedule.

Must hold a Bachelor's in nutrition (or related), a Master's in nutrition, and be or eligible for CDR certification; licensure required. Compensation is $35–$40/hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field (as of pre-2024).
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national exam by the CDR or eligible per AND.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for assessments, care planning and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients.
• Adhere to Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments to set up procedures for dining and nutrition.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
