Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The RD will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and improve patient quality of life in alignment with goals.

Typical schedule is 8–16 hours per week. Responsibilities include educating the care team, adhering to practice standards, and supporting dining service and nutrition protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or eligible via Academy guidelines.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures for dining service and nutrition.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement programs.
