Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The RD will assess patients’ nutritional needs, plan and initiate interventions, and support quality of life goals.

Typical schedule: 8–16 hours per week. Responsibilities include educating staff and patients, adhering to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and collaborating with dining services to improve nutrition care and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field required
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field required
• Passes a national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets eligibility requirements
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR requirements
• Licensed or certified per state requirements, regulatory knowledge essential
• Experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients, staff, or consultants
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with departments to develop dining-service procedures and policies
• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement programs and initiatives
