Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian for the healthcare & food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. As a Registered Dietitian, you will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions to maintain status, and improve quality of life aligned with goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination by the CDR or eligible per Academy requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.
• Experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining and nutrition.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement programs.
