Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian for our healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. You will identify nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions to optimize status, and enhance quality of life in line with individual goals.

This position typically schedules 8–16 hours per week. You will educate the healthcare team, follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, coordinate with dining and care departments,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024 or equivalent).
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination by the CDR or eligible per ADI.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of assessment standards, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to educate patients and staff on nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, staff, or consultants.
• Follow standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures for dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in development and evaluation of quality improvement programs.
