Job summary

Elior North America is hiring a PRN Registered Dietitian for the healthcare & food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and improving quality of life for patients/residents. Typical schedule is 8–16 hours per week.

You will work with the health care team, adhere to practice standards, and contribute to dining service nutrition planning while supporting continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets AND eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR portfolio process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining services and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
