Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. As a Registered Dietitian, you will identify and assess the nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions, and enhance quality of life in line with patient goals.

This position typically schedules 8–16 hours per week. Must-have qualifications include a Bachelor's in nutrition, a Master's degree, and CDR exam eligibility, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents and staff.
• Follow standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures related to dining and nutrition.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
