Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. This onsite role identifies nutritional needs, initiates interventions and enhances patient quality of life in a hospital setting.

This position typically schedules 8–16 hours per week. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Nutrition, a Master’s in Nutrition or related field, and active licensure per state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passes a national exam by the CDR or meets Academy eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulations for assessments, care planning and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with departments to develop procedures related to dining and nutrition.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
