Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a PRN X-ray Technician in Kannapolis to support radiology coverage. You will perform radiographic procedures under the radiologist’s supervision, verify patient identity, and prepare contrast media as needed.

This role requires accuracy in positioning, documentation, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate has a radiology technology program completion, ARRT registry eligibility or active registration, and at least 1 year of direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Formal Radiology Technology Program completed.
• ARRT registry eligibility or active registration required if not yet registered.
• At least 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under supervision.
• Documents patient history on requisition.
• Verifies patient identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Coordinates with radiologist and physicians.
• Operates equipment and positions patients accurately.
• Maintains required records per department standards.
