Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic Akron General as a Radiologist Technologist, operating x-ray equipment, including stationary units, mobiles, C-arms and fluoroscopy, to provide images for physician interpretation. You will help create a calming, patient-centered environment and may access imaging programs offered by Cleveland Clinic.

The caregiver works full-time with evening/night rotation (6:30pm–7:00am). You will perform various radiology exams, ensure image quality, PACS workflow, and patient safety,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.
