Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment, including stationary, mobile, C-arms and fluoroscopy, delivering high-quality images to support diagnosis. You’ll work full-time, evenings and nights, contributing to a calm, patient-centered environment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum qualifications include ARRT registration, state licensure, and BLS; preferred one year of general radiologic experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions and report to the help desk/PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures and monitor patient priority.
