Job summary

SSM Health in Illinois is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to support the imaging department with X-ray, fluoroscopy, portables and OR exams. You will ensure safety, accuracy, and high-quality image submission to PACS while maintaining a clean, efficient workstation.

Requires completion of a Radiology Technology program, ARDMS/CCI registry within 12 months, and state-specific licensure. BLS is also required, with flexible shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technology program is required.
• Sonography program and ARDMS or CCI registry in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and provide educational materials.
• Transport and position patients for radiology exams; ensure patient identity and safety.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and minimize patient exposure.
• Prepare/ administer contrast media within scope of practice and regulations.
• Monitor patient during procedures and ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS.
• Maintain clean, organized department and equipment; report malfunctions.
• May perform limited CT in emergent situations.
