Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - St. Charles is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform x-ray exams and support the imaging department. The role requires completing a Radiology Technology program and ARRT-R credential within 6 months of hire.

The position is PRN as needed and may include limited CT procedures in emergent situations. You will work in a fast-paced imaging area, ensure patient safety, and help deliver high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patient to ensure understanding.
• Transport patients and prepare them for radiology exams.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and minimize patient exposure.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope.
• Ensure high-quality images and proper patient data in PACS.
• Maintain a clean and orderly department and assist as needed.
• May perform limited CT procedures in emergent situations when CT Technologist is not on site.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
