Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a Lead Patient Transporter at the Orangeburg campus. Under general supervision, you will support hospital-based patient transportation, coordinate transport operations, and help manage the daily staffing and transport tracking board.

You will ensure safe, timely movement of patients, assist the manager with departmental needs, and transport patients as required to support patient care and workflow.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: A minimum of one year’s patient transport experience at MUSC required.
• Credentials: Current BLS required, through AHA or ARC recognized provider.

Responsibilities

• Support hospital-based patient transportation services on the MUSC-Orangeburg campus.
• Maintain transport staffing schedule and update the transport tracking board daily.
• Assist the manager with departmental needs and transport patients as required to support patient care and workflow.
