Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Marble Falls Hospital in Marble Falls, TX is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN, Day Shift) to support patient care under a licensed PT. You will conduct assessments, implement planned therapies, document progress, and assist with mobility and home exercise programs.

Role requires good communication, reliability, safety focus, and teamwork. Supervises PT aides and students; benefits and ongoing education are available.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers physical therapy interventions as planned by the Physical Therapist.
• Instructs and assists patients, monitors progress and program effectiveness.
• Assists with patient mobility, including transfers and gait, and uses modalities correctly.
• Adheres to safety practices with patient guarding.
• Escorts patients to the treatment area in preparation for treatment.
• Develops and documents home exercise programs and instructional programs.
• Prepares detailed assessments and progress documentation and shares with relevant parties.
• Communicates with the Physical Therapist regarding progress and goal modification.
• Supervises PT aides and students as assigned and ensures proper treatment communication.
• Completes continuing education to maintain qualifications.
