Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for the Marble Falls location on a PRN Day Shift schedule. You will support rehabilitation for patients with developmental, physical, and emotional impairments under a licensed OT, helping restore autonomous functioning and minimize debilitation.

The role requires an Associate's degree and BLS, with strong communication skills, professionalism, and teamwork to coordinate care and document progress.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy treatments under a licensed OT's direction.
• Assists in developing, improving, and restoring autonomous functioning or minimizing debilitation.
• Communicates with the supervising therapist regarding patient progress or needs for updating plan of care.
• Establishes rapport with the patient in a professional manner.
• Prepares documentation of patient treatment and progress; supervises ancillary staff and students when appropriate.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to maintain awareness of patient status.
