The Baylor Scott & White Health Occupational Therapy Assistant role at Marble Falls Hospital provides rehabilitative services to patients with developmental, physical, and emotional needs. You will assist licensed therapists, contribute to treatment plans, and help restore or maintain autonomous function through therapeutic activities.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree and relevant clinical exposure, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and a commitment to compassionate care

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire/transfer.

Responsabilités

• Provides occupational therapy treatments under a licensed OT's direction.
• Assists in developing, improving, and restoring autonomous functioning.
• Communicates patient progress to supervising therapist.
• Establishes rapport with patient in a professional manner.
• Provides equipment or instruction before discharge; splinting as needed.
• Documents patient treatment and progress concisely and timely.
• Supervises ancillary staff and students as appropriate.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to review patient status.
• Completes required continuing education and maintains qualifications.
• Presents educational programs when requested.
