Job summary

National Nursing & Rehab is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team. You will deliver prescribed PT services to residents to improve mobility, strength, and quality of life under PT supervision.

Applicants must hold an active Texas PTA license, be in good standing, and ideally have SNF/LTC experience. Net Health experience is a plus, and the role offers flexible scheduling and supportive teamwork in a caring facility.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license required.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health electronic documentation system preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and restore function.
• Provide skilled PT services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Relay information and referrals to the Physical Therapist on service requests.
• Implement and modify care plans under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches with the care team.
• Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation per policies and regulations.
• Attend required rehab department meetings.
