Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. in Manassas, VA is seeking a dedicated PRN Pre Op Registered Nurse (RN) to prepare patients for surgery, review histories, and ensure comfort before procedures.

You will collaborate with the surgical team, perform thorough preoperative assessments, educate patients and families, and uphold safety and infection control standards in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. No weekends or on-call required, with flexible PRN shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in Virginia.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• Two years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments, review medical histories, medications, and current health status.
• Educate patients and families about the surgical process and ensure they are informed and at ease.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a seamless workflow.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Position Overview

As a PreOp RN, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments, ensuring patient comfort, and delivering exceptional preoperative care.
