Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Active RN license in Virginia.
  • BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
  • Two years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preoperative assessments, review medical histories, medications, and current health status.
  • Educate patients and families about the surgical process and ensure they are informed and at ease.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a seamless workflow.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Overview

As a PreOp RN, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments, ensuring patient comfort, and delivering exceptional preoperative care.
