Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its PRN team across multiple Colorado locations. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care with a focus on urgent care and emergency settings.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with pediatric and adult patients, and full prescriptive authority for Family Nurse Practitioner candidates. Competitive hourly pay with a 12% differential and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with pediatric and adult patients as an advanced practice provider in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room.
• Family Nurse Practitioner candidates must have full prescriptive authority to be considered for this position.
• Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies; Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado; PA-C certification; DEA permit to prescribe.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.
• Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other providers or resources.
• Counsels and educates patients and families about prevention, treatment options and resources.
• Performs preventative health assessments, screenings and immunizations.
• Adapt to fast-paced environment and exercise sound judgement with minimal supervision.
