Job summary

UCHealth Thornton Clinic is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our PRN team. The ideal candidate will enjoy flexible coverage across multiple Colorado locations including Thornton.

The role emphasizes high-quality patient care, collaboration with the health system, and adherence to safety and best-practice standards. Candidates must have PA or NP certification, Colorado licensure, prescriptive authority, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado.
• Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) is required and must be maintained.
• Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessments.
• Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions with prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Counsel patients and families on prevention and treatment options.
• Perform preventive health assessments, screenings, and immunizations.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
