Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its Medical Group as a PRN provider in Colorado. The role covers multiple locations including Erie and surrounding areas, with emphasis on high-quality patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities include history taking, assessments, prescribing within scope, patient education, and preventive care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have 2+ years of Urgent Care or ER experience, and PA/NP prescriptive authority.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with pediatric and adult patients in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room.
• Full prescriptive authority for Colorado PA is required for hire.
• Nurse Practitioner candidates must have full prescriptive authority eligibility.
• Unrestricted license to practice as a PA in Colorado.
• Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in state of practice or compact privileges.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessments; order and interpret diagnostics.
• Provide treatment and management with prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Counsel patients and families on preventative care and options.
• Perform preventive health assessments, immunizations, and screenings.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
