Job summary

Courtland Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Courtland, VA is hiring a part-time PTA-PRN to join our dedicated rehab team. You will provide comprehensive physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT and assist with patient referrals and scheduling.

Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to state guidelines, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient outcomes. Virginia licensure is required, and a flexible, patient‑focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Physical Therapy (BA or AS) recognized by the APTA.
• Current license/registration in Virginia (state license).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive PT treatment under supervision of a PT according to state guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab.
• Document patient participation and progress; obtain PT co-signature.
• Ensure MD orders for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Assist with documentation per state guidelines.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as directed by Supervisor.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in scheduling patients.
• Complete billing and bill patients for PT services rendered.
• Cover other therapists’ caseload during absences as needed.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
• Provide in-service education to rehab staff and facility/hospital teams.
• Comply with safety policies and patient confidentiality (Federal Resident Rights).
• Report to work on time and maintain a professional image.
• Adhere to productivity requirements.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with colleagues and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Follow facility policies on lunch, overtime, and time off.
