Job summary

Courtland Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Courtland, VA is hiring a PTA (PRN) to provide patient-centered physical therapy under supervision of a licensed PT and support the rehab team in delivering quality care.

Applicants must have a BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy, be licensed/registered in Virginia, and demonstrate professionalism and dependable scheduling for PRN coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of a PT according to state guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying patients and referring them to rehab as needed.
• Document daily participation and progress on progress notes with PT cosignature.
• Ensure MD orders for treatments, recertifications and discharges are obtained.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as directed by Supervisor.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team and schedule patients accordingly.
• Complete billing and charge patients for PT services rendered.
• Cover other therapists’ caseload during absence and supervise junior PTA staff or students.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, facility staff, patients and families.
• Provide in-service education to rehab staff and facility/hospital teams when needed.
• Comply with facility safety policies and patient confidentiality.

Education

BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy (APTA-recognized)
