Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Round Rock, TX is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional impairments. You will develop individualized plans and collaborate with physicians and rehab teams to promote independence.

The role requires graduation from an accredited PT program, TX licensure, strong English communication, and the ability to educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the applicable state.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong problem-solving skills to assess patient needs and tailor interventions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients requiring physical therapy services.
• Complete comprehensive patient evaluations using appropriate tools and procedures.
• Review medical records, diagnoses, precautions, contraindications, and clinical information for treatment planning.
• Establish measurable goals and develop individualized treatment plans to maximize function.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Technicians per state rules.
• Communicate evaluation findings, plans, and progress with patients, families, physicians, and team members.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to adjust plans based on progress.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, including evaluations, treatment records, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in rehabilitation meetings, care conferences, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Educate patients and caregivers on maintenance programs and home exercises.
• Serve as a clinical resource and preceptor for PT/PTA educational programs when assigned.
• Ensure compliance with state standards, policies, regulatory requirements, and safety.
