Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Physical Therapist for an on-call/PRN role spanning multiple network locations, including Wheaton and nearby areas. The incumbent evaluates and treats patients with physical impairments, adheres to APTA standards, and collaborates with PT assistants and care teams to optimize outcomes.

The position requires an active Illinois therapy license, BLS certification, and a minimum of 3 years in inpatient rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation and/or subacute program.
• Maintains an active Illinois therapy license to practice.
• BLS from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Completes documentation per hospital policy and submits charges in a timely manner.
• Assumes responsibility for a group of patients and provides PT evaluations, modalities and treatments per policy.
• Interprets evaluation results to identify patient strengths and functional limitations.
• Establishes functional and measurable goals in line with patient function and discharge plan.
