Job summary

Labcorp in Palatka, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to support patient care with blood collections and specimen processing. The role offers a Monday–Friday AS NEEDED-Variable schedule (not to work more then 19 hours in a week) and may involve travel to additional sites.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, data entry, specimen processing, and delivering compassionate customer service. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED or phlebotomy training, with preferred 1 year of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
