Job summary

Cognito LLC, a Resolution Think joint venture, seeks a PRN Pharmacy Technician to support the ICE Health Services Corps at the Montgomery Processing Center in Conroe, TX.

As a civilian contractor, you will dispense medications, assist with patient care, and collaborate with pharmacists to ensure safety and accuracy in a detention setting. Shifts vary; duties include preparation, inventory, and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
• Minimum 1 year as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical nomenclature, formulas, and dosages.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and use interpreter services.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties related to preparation and dispensing of medication orders.
• Provides direct patient care within scope of practice and facility policies.
• Responds to medical emergencies as needed.
• Reads prescriptions to verify drug name, strength, and dosage.
• Sets up prescriptions and prepares medications for pharmacist check.
• Maintains records and uses electronic systems for workload and inventory.
• Coordinate with pharmacists to resolve prescription issues.
• Assist with inventory, purchases, and reporting.
