Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy in Tampa, FL is seeking a PRN Staff Pharmacist to provide ad-hoc coverage in a closed-door long-term care setting. Hours are variable, including weekdays 8:30 am–5 pm and weekends on-call.

The role requires a FL Pharmacist License, immunization certification, and solid experience in retail or long-term care pharmacy. You will support workflow, verify orders, and ensure compliance while maintaining a positive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3+ years preferred.
• Florida Pharmacist License required.
• Immunization certification required.
• Order entry experience required.
• Typing speed minimum 40 WPM.
• Medical records experience preferred.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC preferred.
• Positive team player in a high-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Manages the workflow processes including pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
• Reviews medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness and completeness.
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the State Boards of Pharmacy, the DEA, and the FDA.
• Performs duties with a friendly, positive, team-oriented approach.
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• All other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
