Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking PRN Patient Care Technicians to support the Observation Unit in Wheat Ridge, CO. The role includes delivering basic patient care, assisting with unit coordination, and collaborating with the nursing team.

Both day and night shifts are available, with weekend and holiday requirements. Qualified candidates hold CNA certification and BLS, with strong communication skills and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care tasks (toileting, bathing, linen changes, hydration, comfort) with excellent customer service.
• Report patient care findings promptly and escalate changes in condition as needed.
• May monitor patients (telemetry) and assist on the unit as required.
• Transport medications to RN and support the care team.
• Assist with health unit coordination tasks as needed (phones, orders, records).
• Contribute to a safe environment by following safety policies and emergency procedures.
