Qualifications

• CNA in the state of practice is required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care such as toileting, bathing, linen changes, hydration, ambulation, and comfort measures while delivering excellent customer service.
• Record patient care findings and data promptly; report changes in condition to the RN.
• May perform telemetry duties and function as a patient care attendant on the unit.
• Transport medications to the RN and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator duties including phones, orders, and unit records.
