Job summary

Qualifications

• Cross-trained to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Strong service orientation and communication with patients and visitors.
• HIPAA privacy compliance awareness.
• Knowledge of EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO regulations.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and update demographic and insurance information accurately.
• Cross-train to support multiple patient access areas.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service in person and by phone.
• Collect co-payments and other payments; maintain accurate accounts.
• Explain processes and obtain required patient consent forms as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA.
