Qualifications

• Experience in patient access or front desk roles is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills are essential.
• Ability to work in multiple patient access areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information.
• Cross-train to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Maintain service excellence for patients and visitors in person and by phone.
• Collect co-payments, self-pay deposits, and other payments.
• Provide face-to-face customer service aligned with department goals and core values.
• Explain and obtain required patient consent forms and ensure compliance documentation.
• Receive and disseminate clinical information as indicated.
• Maintain patient privacy per HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain professional relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
• Apply analytical and critical thinking to daily tasks and communication.
