Job summary

NGHS is seeking a Patient Access Registrar to greet patients, register them, verify demographics, determine benefits, perform pre-cert verification, collect co-pays, and complete the registration process on the hospital campus.

Under supervision, you will use EHR systems, ensure accurate information, explain billing basics, and support patient financial counseling when appropriate to meet department goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with office equipment; capable of moving patients.
• Able to push a wheelchair and be mobile across hospital campus.

Responsibilities

• Capture and document patient demographics, insurance information, and contact details in the EHR.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; determine patient financial responsibility.
• Collect co-pays/deductibles and provide financial counseling when appropriate.
• Ensure accuracy to minimize errors and delays and comply with HIPAA.
