Job summary

St. Giles Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team.

You will plan and administer therapy to residents, work under an OT, and help patients regain independence while coordinating with families and caregivers. Ideal candidates hold a valid Texas OTA license with a COTA credential, have strong teamwork and communication skills, and bring familiarity with Net Health EHR.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with disabilities.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure all treatments follow the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
