Job summary

Physician Partners of America is seeking an OR RN to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in PPOA ASC locations in Florida. The role includes pre-op assessment, circulating duties, maintaining sterile technique, accurate documentation, and collaboration with physicians to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active State RN license with BLS/ACLS, experience in operating rooms, and knowledge of AORN standards.

Qualifications

• Currently active State Registered Nursing License
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• IV Sedation course completion and certification upon hire preferred
• Exceptional knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Proven experience as operating room nurse
• In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
• Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions (AORN Standards)
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the Center
• Effective communicator— appreciates and respects others’ needs, opinions, and concerns

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per nursing process throughout perioperative care
• Oversee and guide staff under supervision and collaborate with surgical team to plan and evaluate care
• Maintain sterile field by practicing aseptic techniques
• Document patient health records accurately
• Communicate data to physicians and other care team members
• Assist with Pre-Op calls and documentation of patient health history and medications prior to admission
• Ensure supplies and equipment are available for patient care
• Function within scope of practice based on licensure, education, skills and experience
