Job summary

Physician Partners of America is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to oversee perioperative patient care and collaborate with the surgical team to optimize outcomes. This role requires strong aseptic technique, patient safety focus, and effective communication with physicians and staff.

The RN must hold an active Florida license with BLS/ACLS certs; CNOR is preferred. Work takes place at PPOA ASC locations in Florida, typically Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Active state RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• CNOR preferred but not required.
• Vast knowledge of aseptic techniques.
• Experience as operating room nurse.

Responsibilities

• Care with empathy as a core value.
• Perform pre-op assessment and formulate plan of care.
• Review Pre-Op Health History and co-sign LVN assessment.
• Provide competent circulating care and ensure equipment/supplies.
• Maintain sterile field with aseptic techniques.
• Document patient health records accurately.
• Communicate data to physicians and care team.
• Interpret and implement physician orders and evaluate treatments.
• Anticipate patient problems and ensure safety in OR/ASC.
• Report unsafe practices to promote compliance.
• Participate in Safety Management, Infection Control, and regulatory compliance.
• Interact professionally with physicians, patients, families, and staff.
• Attend staff meetings and review minutes.
• Encourage cross-training for professional growth.
• Assist with Pre-Op calls and medical clearances.
