Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) Pre-OP/PACU at Physician Partners of America in Florida provides patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN oversees staff under the Director of Nursing and supports the center's mission.

Required ASC experience, active RN license, BCLS and ACLS, and strong communication. Must ensure informed consent, document observations, and collaborate with physicians and the care team for safe perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with active RN license.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification required.
• Ability to read and communicate in English; additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process in pre-op and PACU.
• Perform initial physiological assessment on admission/discharge.
• Ensure informed consents are signed and correct; document changes.
• Monitor patients for symptoms, document data, and communicate with physicians.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and readiness of equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate with physicians and care team; participate in staff meetings.
