Job summary

Physician Partners of America is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide perioperative patient care across the OR and ASC settings. You will support pre-op assessments, circulating duties, sterile technique, and documentation under the supervision of Nursing leadership.

Requirements include an active State RN license, BLS and ACLS, and OR nursing experience. CNOR is preferred but not required; Cocaine policies and patient safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• Active State Registered Nursing License is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• IV Sedation course completion preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Proven OR nursing experience with surgical procedures.
• Understanding of patient safety standards (AORN).
• Ability to communicate in English; other languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the perioperative process using nursing workflow.
• Pre-op assessments and care planning for positive patient outcomes.
• Circulate cases and provide equipment to meet patient needs.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Document health records accurately.
• Communicate data to physicians and care team.
• Implement physician orders and evaluate treatments.
• Identify and report unsafe practices to promote compliance.
• Participate in safety, infection control and emergency preparedness programs.
• Interact professionally with physicians, patients and families.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to ongoing training.
• Assist with Pre-Op calls and medical clearances as needed.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are available for patient care.
• Stay compliant with licensure, policies and procedures.
• Restock and assist with equipment cleaning and inventory when required.
• CNOR preferred but not required.
