Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Per Diem Nursing Assistant to support RN staff in daily patient care tasks, including bathing, feeding and mobilization. You will document vitals, intake/output and weights in the EMR, and assist with rounds and transfers under RN supervision.

The role requires GED/HSED or high school diploma, BLS certification within 45 days, and active Nurse Aide standing with the state registry. Endorsements and ongoing education are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility and transfers.
• Measures and documents vitals, intake/output, weights, and patient data in EMR.
• Performs rounding, communicates observations to RN and documents needs.
• Participates in admission, transfer, and discharge processes with RN supervision.
• Collects specimens and supports point-of-care testing as directed.
