Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Nurse Aide to assist the Nursing Float Pool with daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, mobility, and basic monitoring under RN supervision.

You will perform routine measurements, document in the EMR, help with admissions and transfers, and maintain supply stocks while upholding infection prevention and patient safety standards. High school or GED required; BLS certification; no experience required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate, or GED/HSED. Annual certifications as required.
• Experience: No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, mobility).
• Measures/records vital signs and weighs patients; documents in EMR.
• Performs rounding and reports observations to RN.
• Supports admissions/transfers and room setup under RN guidance.
• Collects specimens and assists with specimens labeling.
• Maintains stock, cleans equipment, and keeps work areas organized.
• Performs patient positioning and transport with proper technique.
