Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients referred by physicians. The role is in skilled nursing facility settings with an interdisciplinary team, focusing on functional progress and quality of life in a patient-centered environment.

The ideal candidate will have NBCOT certification, a state license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

NBCOT certification required at hire; renewal optional going forward.
Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT).
Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Responsibilities

Follow occupational treatment plans for patients (activities of daily living).
Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals.
Oversee and evaluate care given by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students.
Chart appropriately and timely.
Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately.
Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
Maintain dependable, regular attendance and professional conduct.
