Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a COTA to provide direct OT assistant services in our skilled nursing facilities. You will work under the supervision of an OT, following physician referrals and Life Care standards to support patient progress and quality of life.

Responsibilities include using therapy plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. A valid NBCOT and state licensure, plus CPR, are required at hire or during orientation.

Qualifications

NBCOT certification on hire; renewal optional.
Graduate of an accredited OT program (ASOT).
Currently registered/licensed in the applicable state and maintain active license.
One year experience preferred; new grads welcome.
CPR certification on hire or during orientation; must remain current.

Responsibilities

Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
Liaises with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs.
Follow occupational treatment plans under supervision of the OT.
Chart appropriately and timely.
Utilize therapy software appropriately.
Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times.
Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
Read/write/speak English.
